We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst / Tech Lead to strengthen our Securities IT Front & Accounting Team. The team works closely with all departments to achieve the best results through our analyses and implementations. Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all maintenance and development activities for risk management and performance attribution tools, including the interfaces with our core investment management tool, SimCorp Dimension.
  • Collaborate closely with other business analysts, technical engineers, relevant business teams, and software providers.
  • Lead regular alignment meetings with various stakeholder groups.
  • Act as the subject matter leader for the "Risk & Performance" cluster within the team, handling all day-to-day topics.
  • Address questions and problems from end users.
  • Conduct requirements engineering, solution design, and specifications.
  • Perform implementation reviews, coordinate, and execute tests and sign-offs.
  • Ensure standardization and maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Participate in projects, initiatives, and new business processes.

Experience

  • University degree in economics or (business) mathematics/computer science; additional training and certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst in the financial industry.
  • Strong expertise in performance analysis and attribution, risk management, and/or portfolio analytics.
  • Highly developed communication, coordination, and people management skills, with experience leading initiatives and projects.
  • Proficient in evaluating financial instruments and possessing a deep understanding of underlying market data and benchmarks.
  • IT affinity and technical understanding of interfaces and databases, including SQL.
  • Programming experience is an advantage, ideally in Python, Excel VBA, and Power BI.
  • Relevant experience with software solutions for performance analysis and attribution, as well as risk management; experience with MSCI RiskManager, BarraOne, and/or SimCorp Dimension is an advantage.
  • Quick thinker with a willingness to continuously learn new things.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a flair for conceptual work.
  • Autonomous working style while building bridges to other teams and departments.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is an advantage.
