Swiss Life Asset Managers' central ESG team located in Zurich is responsible for ESG integration across all asset classes and functions. Along with local ESG Managers in Switzerland, France, Germany, UK, Norway, and Luxembourg, it develops and implements overarching ESG strategies for our Real Estate and Infrastructure business units.
To strengthen our divisional ESG team Real Assets, we are looking for an ESG Manager Real Assets with a focus on data management and quantitative reporting and processes starting immediately or upon agreement.
In this role, you will lead or support our the development of strategies, concepts, and tools for harmonized and automated ESG management and reporting processes. You will be part of a dynamic and international team of ESG experts. Wherever possible, responsibilities will be tailored to your experience, strengths, and preferences, with a primary focus on Real Estate and potential coverage of Infrastructure topics.

Responsibilities
- Lead or support projects and initiatives around ESG strategy development, implementation, and communication.
- Contribute to the development of harmonized and automated ESG management and reporting processes.
- Lead, quality control, or support semi-automated ESG reporting and benchmarking processes (e.g., SFDR PAI, carbon reporting, TCFD, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, GRESB).
- Analyse and implement evolving ESG data and reporting requirements based on regulatory, industry, and internal standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and enhance ESG data management systems, including calculation methodologies, organizational models and data governance, with a focus on efficiency, data quality and traceability (auditability)
- Support the introduction, training, and maintenance of ESG systems (Change Management).
Experience
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, real estate management, engineering, data science, environmental science, sustainability management).
- 5-15 years of professional experience in real estate management, asset management, consulting, or a comparable field.
- Professional experience or advanced education in ESG/sustainability/carbon management and real estate management.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills, with an affinity for thinking in roles and processes and strong project management skills.
- Effective communicator who can present complex issues clearly and appropriately to the target audience.
- Self-driven, team-oriented, proactive personality, comfortable navigating a dynamic organizational setup, willing to take ownership and responsibility and drive topics within and across teams
- All knowledge on regulatory frameworks and technical/industry standards around sustainable real estate is a plus. However, applicants are clearly NOT expected to be familiar with all frameworks and standards mentioned above.
