As we continue to expand our European operations, we are creating new positions in Portugal to support our teams, and we are looking for a Fund Accountant.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records for funds, SPVs and other legal entities, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and perform reconciliations with trial balances.
- Oversee accounting prepared by external service providers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Record accounting adjustments required for fund, group, and statutory reporting.
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements in compliance with local and fund-specific requirements.
- Support invoice management processes, including invoice booking, payment follow-up, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate audit processes by preparing, collecting, and providing required documentation.
- Contribute to consolidation processes and NAV calculations by ensuring appropriate Fund GAAP adjustments are recorded.
- Support group and regulatory reporting by preparing and delivering data in the required format.
- Provide support with accounting systems (e.g. Yardi, SAP, etc) and contribute to process improvements, standardization, and ad-hoc tasks as required.
Experience
- Academic background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Accounting degree preferred).
- Approximately 7 years of experience in relevant accounting roles, such as Real Estate accounting, fund accounting, fund controller, or similar accounting roles.
- Exposure to Luxembourg GAAP and understanding of the real estate or alternative investment fund industry considered a strong asset.
- Experience with Yardi or similar fund accounting systems is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills and good command of Microsoft Office tools.
- Good professional English communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and high sense of ownership.
- Team-oriented, proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in an international and evolving environment.
