As we continue to expand our European operations, we are creating new positions in Portugal to support our teams, and we are looking for a General Ledger Clerk.

Responsibilities
- Support General Ledger and Fixed Asset accounting activities, ensuring accurate postings, reconciliations, and compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and company standards.
- Process daily journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other G/L adjustments while assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
- Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and support physical asset verification processes.
- Prepare audit documentation, support internal and external audits, and ensure proper filing and retention of accounting records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, Divisional Accounting, and MDM) to improve data accuracy, resolve issues, and drive process improvements and automation
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in Accounting, preferably with exposure to General Ledger and Fixed Asset processes.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in managing accounting records, reconciliations, and financial data accurately.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, for working in an international environment.
- Fluent French communication skills, both written and spoken, for working in an international environment.
