Swiss Life Asset Managers' central ESG team located in Zurich is responsible for ESG integration across all asset classes and functions. Along with local ESG Managers in Switzerland, France, Germany, UK, Norway, and Luxembourg, it develops and implements overarching ESG strategies for our Real Estate business unit.
To support our divisional ESG team Real Estate, we are looking for an (Junior) ESG Manager Real Estate with a focus on data management and quantitative reporting starting immediately or upon agreement.
In this role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, concepts, and tools to harmonize and automate ESG management and reporting processes. You will be part of a dynamic and international team of ESG experts.

Responsibilities
- Lead, quality control, or support semi-automated ESG reporting and benchmarking processes (e.g., SFDR PAI, carbon reporting, TCFD, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, GRESB).
- Contribute and collaborate with internal teams to develop and enhance ESG data management standards, processes and systems with a focus on efficiency, data quality and traceability (auditability). E.g., support definition of system requirements, calculation methodologies, roles and responsibilities; conduct, steer or support testing, training and roll-out and maintenance works.
- Support works on ESG strategy enhancement, implementation, and communication.
- Lead or support on other ESG related initiatives and tasks, based on current demands within the team and personal capabilities and interest.
Experience
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, real estate management, engineering, data science, environmental science, sustainability management).
- 1-5 years of professional experience in a relevant field (e.g., in real estate management, asset management, data management, consulting)
- Professional experience, advanced education or high affinity to ESG / sustainability / carbon management, real estate management and data management.
- Very good English skills (spoken and written). German is a plus.
- Very good knowledge of Excel / data processing. Programming skills are not required but affinity to data engineering and BI / reporting tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and good communicator with capability to present complex issues clearly and appropriately to the target audience. Project management skills are a plus.
- Self-driven, team-oriented, proactive personality, with a structured and precise way of working.
- All knowledge on regulatory frameworks and technical/industry standards around sustainable real estate is a plus. However, applicants are clearly NOT expected to be familiar with all frameworks and standards mentioned above.
