Risk Management Switzerland within the overall organization of Swiss Life Asset Managers ensures that risks are systematically identified, analyzed, assessed, monitored and managed on the collective investment scheme level. Based at the head office in Zurich, the department is responsible for Investment Compliance, Risk Management Securities, Risk Management Real Assets and Qualitative Risk Management. The Real Assets team is particularly dedicated to risk management for the asset classes Infrastructure Equity, Infrastructure Debt and Real Estate.
For the Risk Management Real Assets team, we are looking for a highly motivated full-time Risk Manager Infrastructure (f/m/d).
In our organisation, you'll play a leading role in improving infrastructure risk management and gain deep insight into global infrastructure equity and debt. You'll be part of a dynamic team, interacting regularly with senior management and gaining insights into our real asset investment activities, including our pan-European real estate business. You'll also work with our European teams, particularly in France and Luxembourg, broadening your experience and network.

Responsibilities

  • Risk Management for Infrastructure Equity & Debt Investments in close collaboration with the investment teams
  • Independent analysis of and preparation of comprehensive pre-trade risk assessments for new infrastructure assets including a recommendation to the respective investment committee
  • Post-transaction quantitative risk monitoring at asset and fund level with periodic reporting to the respective Risk Committees
  • Periodic review of asset valuations, forecast assumptions and performance with participation in Valuation Committees
  • Continuous integration of ESG risk management into the pre- and post-transaction phase and representation of the Risk function in the ESG committee
  • Participation in projects and working groups as a subject matter expert for Infrastructure Risk Management
  • Ad-hoc risk analysis for senior management and support of investment teams through independent risk assessments

Experience

  • Master's degree in business administration, finance or engineering, subject-specific further education (CFA, FRM, ERP, CAIA) desired
  • 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in the field of Risk Management and/or Investment Management with very good knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets; experience in private equity / debt, especially in infrastructure is a clear plus
  • Interest into sustainability risk topics with a desire to enhance skills and support further development of ESG integration into Risk Management
  • Strong affinity for numbers and very good knowledge of investment analysis
  • Exact, structured as well as result-oriented way of working
  • Communicative and cooperative personality with pleasure in working with various colleagues in different countries
  • Very good MS-Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint, are a prerequisite and further IT skills (e.g. Power BI, VBA, Python, R) are an advantage
  • Very good English and good German skills. French is an advantage.
